Psalm (03.25.04 - h2o:fusion)
It's been said 'To live in light
one must understand the darkness.'
The reverse is also true.
The more that I struggle,
perhaps the more I learn understanding
of that which must be overcome.
And when you are ready and finished,
the faith-test will end and I will be left
Understanding of dark, living in light.
For there to be this light,
there must be a complete and total opposite;
It must be good, for your opposite is bad.
Perhaps that is why we have evil:
You created it for us to reject
To love You freely, or not at all.
It's hard to see such a thing...
My mind can accept this explanation.
Perhaps in time, my heart, too, shall follow...
